How to activate the old quick launch toolbar in windows 7:

Well, Lots of you might have missed the old windows xp and vista quick launch bar, some of you found that the pinning function isn’t a good replacement yet, Fortunately, the quick launch toolbar can be reactivated in a seconds just follow the following steps:

1. Right Click on any free empty area on your taskbar then choose toolbars > new toolbar

2. Type exactly the following into the folder box “ %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch “ and press enter.

3. Now it appeared, but to be exactly as u used to, right click on your taskbar again and uncheck lock the taskbar

put it in the position you want by dragging it to the extreme left side for example

4. Now right click on the divider and uncheck “show title” and “show text”

5. Now relock your taskbar.

6. You’re now done, enjoy the old quick launch bar!
